• What's the difference between veneers, bonding, and crowns?

  Bonding uses tooth-colored composite material applied directly to the tooth — fast, inexpensive, but typically lasts 5–7 years. Veneers are thin custom porcelain shells bonded to the front of teeth — more expensive but more durable and natural-looking. Crowns cover the entire tooth and are used when a tooth is heavily damaged. The right option depends on the tooth's condition and your goals.

• Will my veneers look fake?

  Not if they're designed well. Quality cosmetic dentistry uses translucent porcelain and careful color-matching to mimic the layered appearance of natural teeth. Common signs of "fake" veneers — chunky shape, opaque white color, perfectly identical teeth — come from rushed planning, not from veneers themselves.

• Is teeth whitening enough, or do I need veneers?
